Vans are my passion and part of my life.
In the 1994 I bought my very first American Van. My daily driver is a 1979 full size V8 5.7L (350 c.u.) Chevy conversion van. Best dependable vehicle I have ever owned. I've owned this one because it makes a good family vehicle and good for camping with the couch folds into a bed. Runs like top and starts in any weather. As current van owner I always will tell you “LOVE IT”.
I would drive this light truck anywhere for various reasons: camping excursions, festivals, band gigs, etc. For moving you couldn’t beat a full-size van.

Driving American trucks is something like being a sailor, or a cowboy. Almost every man had, at least once, dreamed of commanding the huge, shiny VAN. Romantic enough for people to dream about it. Especially compared to boring trucks in Europe. Forgot about silly old stereotype about vans they got co-opted by losers, bad characters. You could fit more folks in American Van than into a hippie camper VW microbus, still tow a boat to the lake (compared to underpowered engine in german camper) and go the speed limit. North America vans are solid, roomy and versatile.
Conversion comes from convert, so you make it into what you want it to be and it’s all about what you want it for, the perfect choice for a road trip. Vans are hard to beat for long distance, comfort and room with pull-out convertible sofa and good sound system. Life is too short to drive something you hate. Or even don’t love much...
